CHAIR RESCUE.

Well it's been a long time since I have been on my blog. And now I"M BACK.....
So much has been happening. Joe and I moved to Port Dover, Ontario to be near my parents, as they are getting older and wanted to be near them in case they needed help in anyway.  My sister and her son moved here too. My father was so happy to have his daughters so near. Unfortunately my father became sick 6 months after we moved here and he passed away. So blogging was not on my mind.  Our family is adjusting to life after dad. And even though i am still trucking Sarah and Bessie is always on my mind, knowing that I want to get back to it.

Joe and I have been working on some projects.  Here is the chair that we refinished.

This is the before picture. I like the lines of this chair and it's very comfortable to sit in.

And here is the after. When looking for fabric I could not find anything that I liked at the fabric store.
So one day I was at Target and I was looking at a drapery panel and I really liked the pattern. And I thought this would be great for the chair. Plus this drapery panel is more durable to use to reupholster a chair. The paint was by Para is P2099-01 MANITOU BLUE
So I hope you liked what we have done to this chair.   Please feel free to comment.
This chair is for sale at  $300.00

PAINTING, PAINTING AND MORE PAINTING

Today we got a bit of a break on the hot weather that we have been experiencing. So Joe and I headed over to the camper trailer and got a lot of work done. Joe finally got rid of the horrible 32 year old carpet that was in the bedroom area and the living room. Plus we pulled up the linoleum that is in the kitchen and bathroom. I painted the cupboards turquoise. All the cabinets in the living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom will be turquoise and the walls will be a nice crisp white. Joe's  dad came over to take a look and he was blown away on how nice it was looking. I can't wait until it's done. Tommorrow is another day and we will be back at it again. And as we were walking around the trailer today we decided that we will paint the outside to match the interior. I was like a little kid jumping up and down clapping. I can't wait to get it done so you can see the pictures!

CAMPER TRAILER

Hi everyone sorry it's taking so long to post but I have been so busy. I have an exciting new project on the go. Joe and I bought a 32 year old camper. You know the kind that is full of dark wood paneling everywhere, and I mean everywhere! I am in the process of making it over and your gonna love it. By the time I am finished you won't believe your eyes. So stay tuned and as soon as I am done I will be posting before and after pictures.

OZZY & SHARON OSBOURNE'S HOME

My favorite room.

Love this free standing tub.

Ozzy and Sharon sold their Beverly Hills Mansion and bought this beautiful Cape Cod Mansion. The home is beautifully decorated and Sharon used www.martynlawrencebullard.com to decorate this 11,000 square foot home.

AN ENGLISH COTTAGE

One of my favorite homes is the English cottage in the movie The Holiday with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. I fell in love with that little house. Even tho it was a "fake house" I certainly could see myself living in that style of home. And I don't think it would be that hard to draw up the plans to build a cottage like that. I especially like the fireplace in the kitchen. The living room is so inviting. Even the bedroom has a nice fireplace. There are 3 small cottages a few blocks from where I live and they remind me of this cottage.
